Parliaments must develop indigenously-developed strategic plans and revive internal decision-making forums to make development conducive

Islamabad: March 29, 2018; Secretary Senate of Pakistan Amjed Pervez Malik has said that indigenously developed strategic plans and internal decision making forums have to be developed by Parliaments across the world in order to make development conducive. He observed that internal reforms in Parliaments must not be quantified in terms of number of projects. It is a paradigm shift towards strengthening internal mechanisms, amending rules of procedures and utilizing internal resources of stability. Secretary Senate made these remarks while giving a presentation at the second expert roundtable of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) on the common principles for support to parliaments. Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Executive Board meeting was held at PMDC Office Islamabad on 29th March 2018.

Meeting was chaired by the President PHF Brig. (Retd) Muhammad Khalid S. Khokhar and attended by Secretary PHF, All Provincial Secretaries, Ms. Khushbakht Shujat Chairperson PHF Women’s Wing, Mr. Muhammad Saeed Khan Vice-President PHF, Brig. Ghulam Jilani Director Army Sports Directorate & Technocrats Syed Musaddiq Hussain, Naveed Alam & Qasim Khan. In his opening remarks, the President warmly welcomed all members of the Executive Board.  The President also mentioned that PHF management intends to make the existing system of scrutiny and elections as transparent as possible for the betterment and uplift of the game. Pakistan makes a demarche to Afghanistan

Pakistan has handed over a dossier to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Islamabad. The dossier contains evidence of the involvement of Afghanistan based TTP in the suicide bombing at a Pak Army unit in Swat and the presence of TTP, JuA and other terrorist groups’ hideouts in Afghan territory. The Afghan side was asked to take effective action against terrorist hideouts from where they have been financing, planning and undertaking cross border terrorist attacks on Pakistani military posts, cities and towns.

Secretary Perdue Announces Third “Back to Our Roots” RV Tour

(Washington, D.C., March 28, 2018) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will kick off his third “Back to Our Roots” RV tour next TUESDAY, April 3rd to hear ideas and concerns from local farmers, agriculture students and researchers, business owners, community leaders, and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) employees. PAKISTAN NAVY RETAINS CHAMPIONS TITLE OF 25TH NATIONAL SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2018

Karachi, Mar 27 (Special Report) Pakistan Navy has won the 25th National Shooting Championship 2018 with 20 Gold, 14 Silver and 11 Bronze medals whereas Pakistan Army secured the runner up position.
