Parliaments must develop indigenously-developed strategic plans and revive internal decision-making forums to make development conducive
Islamabad: March 29, 2018; Secretary Senate of Pakistan Amjed Pervez Malik has said that indigenously developed strategic plans and internal decision making forums have to be developed by Parliaments across the world in order to make development conducive. He observed that internal reforms in Parliaments must not be quantified in terms of number of projects. It is a paradigm shift towards strengthening internal mechanisms, amending rules of procedures and utilizing internal resources of stability. Secretary Senate made these remarks while giving a presentation at the second expert roundtable of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) on the common principles for support to parliaments.
